Bunt Group

Research Interests:

The Bunt Lab is currently interested in the area of transition metal-chiral ligand catalysis.  Our most recent published work from 2015 showed that enantiomeric excess in palladium-catalyzed allylic amination reactions was improved by depressing the proton-driven reversibility with DBU or Cs2CO3, the results of which were consistent across several ligands. The Bunt lab is now interested in synthesizing novel chiral ligands and examining how their electronic properties affect enantioselectivity.

Techniques used:

  • GC-MS
  • NMR
  • Chiral HPLC
