Research Interest

Dr. James Larrabee is currently interested in the area of inorganic electronic spectroscopy. All of his recent research has focused on the electronic structure of high-spin cobalt (II) in the active sites of hydrolase enzymes and small complexes that are structural models of these active sites. The hydrolase enzymes are studied using magnetic circular dichroism to better understand their mechanisms.

Techniques used

  • Magnetic Circular Dichroism (MCD)
